Call to Worship

Leader: But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.

People: God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

Trinity Hymnal #115  “All Creatures of Our God and King”

All creatures of our God and King,

lift up your voice with us and sing

alleluia, alleluia!

Thou burning sun with golden beam,

thou silver moon with softer gleam,

O praise him, O praise him,

alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

O rushing wind that art so strong,

ye clouds that sail in heav'n along,

alleluia, alleluia!

Thou rising morn in praise rejoice,

ye lights of evening, find a voice,

O praise him, O praise him,

alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

Thou flowing water, pure and clear,

make music for thy Lord to hear,

alleluia, alleluia!

Thou fire, so masterful and bright

that givest man both warmth and light,

O praise him, O praise him,

alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

And all ye men of tender heart,

forgiving others, take your part,

O sing ye, alleluia!

Ye who long pain and sorrow bear,

praise God and on him cast your care,

O praise him, O praise him,

alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

Let all things their Creator bless,

and worship him in humbleness,

O praise him, alleluia!

Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son,

and praise the Spirit, three in one.

O praise him, O praise him,

alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

REFLECTION ON GOD’S LAW

Leader: Honor your father and your mother.

People: Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right

Leader: You shall not murder.

People: Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him

Leader: You shall not commit adultery.

People: Everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed

adultery with her in his heart

Leader: You shall not steal.

People: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. Do your work quietly and

earn your own living

Leader: You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

People: Having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor

Leader: You shall not covet anything that is your neighbor's.

People: For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

Silent Prayer of Confession

Assurance of Grace

Song   “Lord, Have Mercy on Us”

Lord have mercy on us

Come and heal our land

Cleanse with Your fire

Heal with Your touch

Humbly we bow and call upon You now

O Lord have mercy on us

O Lord have mercy on us

Prayer of the Church: Elder Mike Ewing

Psalm 47:1-9  “All Nations, Clap Your Hands” (tune: Trinity Hymnal #198)

All nations, clap your hands and shout;

To God with joyful voices sing!

For awesome is the LORD Most High,

Who over all the earth is King.

He has subdued beneath our feet

The nations who were once our foes.

And Jacob’s glory, whom He loves,

We now inherit as He chose.

God has ascended with a shout!

The LORD amidst the trumpet’s ring.

Sing praise! Sing praises unto God!

Sing praise! Sing praises to our King!

For God is King of all the earth;

Sing praises with a skillful tone.

God rules the nations from on high;

God sits upon His holy throne.

Leaders of nations join themselves,

As those of Abr’ham’s God they come,

Because earth’s shields belong to God;

He is the great exalted One.

PRAYER OF APPLICATION & THE LORD’S PRAYER

Trinity Hymnal #261  “What Wondrous Love Is This”

What wondrous love is this,

O my soul, O my soul,

what wondrous love is this, O my soul!

What wondrous love is this

that caused the Lord of bliss

to bear the dreadful curse for my soul,

for my soul,

to bear the dreadful curse for my soul!

To God and to the Lamb,

I will sing, I will sing,

to God and to the Lamb, I will sing;

to God and to the Lamb,

who is the great I AM,

while millions join the theme,

I will sing, I will sing,

while millions join the theme, I will sing!

And when from death I'm free,

I'll sing on, I'll sing on,

and when from death I'm free, I'll sing on;

and when from death I'm free,

I'll sing and joyful be,

and through eternity I'll sing on, I'll sing on,

and through eternity I'll sing on!

Song –  “His Mercy Is More”

What love could remember no wrongs we have done

Omniscient all knowing He counts not their sum

Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore
Our sins they are many His mercy is more

What patience would wait as we constantly roam

What Father so tender is calling us home

He welcomes the weakest the vilest the poor

Our sins they are many His mercy is more

What riches of kindness He lavished on us

His blood was the payment His life was the cost

We stood 'neath a debt we could never afford

Our sins they are many His mercy is more

Praise the Lord His mercy is more

Stronger than darkness new every morn

Our sins they are many His mercy is more
