Welcome and Announcements
Call to Worship: Psalm 85:7-9a
Leader: Show us your steadfast love, O Lord, and grant us your salvation.
People: Let me hear what God the Lord will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, to his saints; but let them not turn back to folly.
Leader: Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him.
All: Let us rejoice in our God!
Trinity Hymnal #521. “My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less”
My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus' blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
but wholly lean on Jesus' name.
Refrain:
On Christ, the solid rock, I stand;
all other ground is sinking sand;
all other ground is sinking sand.
When darkness veils his lovely face,
I rest on his unchanging grace;
in every high and stormy gale
my anchor holds within the veil. [Refrain]
His oath, his covenant, his blood
support me in the whelming flood;
when all around my soul gives way,
he then is all my hope and stay. [Refrain]
When he shall come with trumpet sound,
O may I then in him be found;
dressed in his righteousness alone,
faultless to stand before the throne.
[Refrain]
REFLECTION ON GOD’S LAW
Leader: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and
with all your mind.
People: This is the great and first commandment.
Leader: God spoke all these words, saying, "I am the Lord your God. You shall have no
other gods before me."
People: For although there may be so-called "gods" in heaven or on earth… yet for us there is one God.
Leader: You shall not make for yourself an idol.
People: What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God.
Leader: You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
People: Let your "yes" be yes and your "no" be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.
Leader: Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
People: There remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.
Silent Prayer of Confession
Assurance of Grace –
“Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because he delights in steadfast love.”
Song “With All My Heart”
With all my heart
I will follow after You
With all my soul
I will praise You O Lord
With all the strength
That You have given me
I'll not be led astray
With all my heart
I will walk in Your ways
Prayer of the Church: Elder Mike Ewing
Psalm 31:1-8 “O Praise the Lord” [tune: Trinity Hymnal #580]
In You, LORD, I take refuge;
Let shame not come to me.
In righteousness give answer;
Set me at liberty.
O hasten to my rescue,
And to my plea give heed;
O be my rock and refuge,
A fortress in my need.
You are my rock and fortress;
For Your name lead and guide.
Because You are my stronghold,
Free me from nets they hide.
Into Your hand my spirit
I now entrust to You;
Because You have redeemed me,
LORD God whose word is true.
I hate those serving idols;
But in the LORD I rest.
Your love gives me great gladness;
You saw me when oppressed.
You knew my soul’s affliction,
And kept me from my foe.
My feet You have established,
Where they can safely go.

Refrain:
Lift high the cross, the love of Christ proclaim,
till all the world adore his sacred name.
Come, brethren, follow where our Savior trod,
our King victorious, Christ, the Son of God. [Refrain]
Led on their way by this triumphant sign,
the hosts of God in conqu'ring ranks combine. [Refrain]
O Lord, once lifted on the glorious tree,
as thou hast promised, draw men unto thee. [Refrain]
Thy kingdom come, that earth's despair may cease
beneath the shadow of its healing peace. [Refrain]
For thy blest cross which doth for us atone,
creation's praises rise before thy throne. [Refrain]
