GREETING & CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 66:8-9, 16
Leader: Bless our God, O peoples; let the sound of his praise be heard, who has kept our soul among the living and has not let our feet slip.
People: Come and hear, all you who fear God, and I will tell what he has done for my soul.
PRAYER OF ADORATION, ASSISTANCE, & BLESSING
TH #580 “Lead On, O King Eternal”
Lead on, O King eternal,
the day of march has come;
henceforth in fields of conquest
thy tents shall be our home:
through days of preparation
thy grace has made us strong,
and now, O King eternal,
we lift our battle song.
Lead on, O King eternal,
till sin's fierce war shall cease,
and holiness shall whisper
the sweet amen of peace;
for not with swords loud clashing,
nor roll of stirring drums,
but deeds of love and mercy,
the heav'nly kingdom comes.
Lead on, O King eternal,
we follow, not with fears;
for gladness breaks like morning
where'er thy face appears;
thy cross is lifted o'er us;
we journey in its light:
the crown awaits the conquest;
lead on, O God of might.
REFLECTION ON GOD’S LAW
Leader: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
People: This is the great and first commandment.
Leader: God spoke all these words, saying, "I am the Lord your God. You shall have no other gods before me."
People: For although there may be so-called "gods" in heaven or on earth…yet for us there is one God.
Leader: You shall not make for yourself an idol.
People: What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God.
Leader: You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
People: Let your "yes" be yes and your "no" be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.
Leader: Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
People: There remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.
SILENT PRAYER OF CONFESSION
ASSURANCE OF PARDON 1 John 5:12
Hymn “Speak, O Lord”
Speak O Lord as we come to You
To receive the food of Your holy word
Take Your truth plant it deep in us
Shape and fashion us in Your likeness
That the light of Christ might be seen today
In our acts of love and our deeds of faith
Speak O Lord and fulfill in us
All Your purposes for Your glory
Teach us Lord full obedience
Holy reverence true humility
Test our thoughts and our attitudes
In the radiance of Your purity
Cause our faith to rise
Cause our eyes to see
Your majestic love and authority
Words of power that can never fail
Let their truth prevail over unbelief
Speak O Lord and renew our minds
Help us grasp the heights of Your plans for us
Truths unchanged from the dawn of time
That will echo down through eternity
And by grace we'll stand on Your promises
And by faith we'll walk as You walk with us
Speak O Lord till Your church is built
And the earth is filled with Your glory
PRAYER OF THE CHURCH Elder B Tidwell
Psalm 96:1-6 “Ascribe Unto the Lord” (TH #111)
Ascribe unto the LORD,
All families of earth,
Ascribe unto the LORD His strength
And His most glorious worth.
Ascribe unto the LORD
The glory of His name;
Come, make your way into His courts,
And bring an offering.
In holy splendor robed,
Bow down before the LORD;
Before Him tremble all the earth.
To nations speak this word:
“The LORD reigns over all!”
The world unmoved will be,
It firm remains; He’ll nations rule
And judge with equity.
O let the skies be glad,
And let the earth rejoice.
Let seas and all that they contain
Lift up their roaring voice.
Let every beast exult,
Let fields with gladness sing;
The joyful singing of the trees
Shall make the forests ring.
They’ll sing before the LORD,
For He is drawing near
To be the judge of all the earth;
He surely will appear.
Then He will rule the world
In perfect righteousness,
And govern all the nations in
His truth and faithfulness.

GOD’S WORD PREACHED “A Second Encouragement” by Pastor Joel E. Wood
PRAYER OF APPLICATION & THE LORD’S PRAYER
TH #428 “Not Worthy, Lord”
Not worthy, Lord! to gather up the crumbs
with trembling hand that from thy table fall,
a weary, heavy-laden sinner comes
to plead thy promise and obey thy call.
I am not worthy to be thought thy child,
nor sit the last and lowest at thy board;
too long a wand'rer and too oft beguiled,
I only ask one reconciling word.
One word from thee, my Lord, one smile, one look,
and I could face the cold, rough world again;
And with that treasure in my heart could brook
the wrath of devils and the scorn of men.
I hear thy voice; thou bidd'st me come and rest;
I come, I kneel, I clasp thy pierced feet;
thou bidd'st me take my place, a welcome guest
among thy saints, and of thy banquet eat.
My praise can only breathe itself in prayer,
my prayer can only lose itself in thee;
dwell thou forever in my heart, and there,
Lord, let me sup with thee; sup thou with me.

COMMUNION PRAYER
Approach the Table for the Lord’s Supper
Prayer of Thanksgiving
Song “We Will Feast in the House of Zion”
We will feast in the house of Zion
We will sing with our hearts restored
He has done great things we will say together
We will feast and weep no more
We will not be burned by the fire
He is the Lord our God
We are not consumed by the flood
Upheld protected gathered up
In the dark of night before the dawn
My soul be not afraid
For the promised morning oh how long
Oh God of Jacob be my strength
Every vow we’ve broken and betrayed
You are the faithful one
And from the garden to the grave
Bind us together bring shalom
