GREETING & CALL TO WORSHIP – Matthew 11:28-29

Leader: Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

People: Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Leader: For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

PRAYER OF ADORATION, ASSISTANCE, & BLESSING

Trinity Hymnal #296  “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name!”

All hail the pow'r of Jesus' name!
Let angels prostrate fall;
bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown him Lord of all;
bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown him Lord of all.

Crown him, ye martyrs of your God,
who from his altar call;
extol the Stem of Jesse's rod,
and crown him Lord of all;
extol the Stem of Jesse's rod,
and crown him Lord of all.

Ye seed of Israel's chosen race,
ye ransomed of the fall,
hail him who saves you by his grace,
and crown him Lord of all;
hail him who saves you by his grace,
and crown him Lord of all.

Sinners, whose love can ne'er forget
the wormwood and the gall,
go, spread your trophies at his feet,
and crown him Lord of all;
go, spread your trophies at his feet,
and crown him Lord of all.

Let ev'ry kindred, ev'ry tribe,
on this terrestrial ball,
to him all majesty ascribe,
and crown him Lord of all;
to him all majesty ascribe,
and crown him Lord of all.

O that with yonder sacred throng
we at his feet may fall;
we'll join the everlasting song,
and crown him Lord of all;
we'll join the everlasting song,
and crown him Lord of all.

REFLECTION ON GOD’S LAW

Leader: Leader: Honor your father and your mother.

People: Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

Leader: You shall not murder.

People: Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

Leader: You shall not commit adultery.

People: Everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Leader: You shall not steal.

People: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. Do your work quietly and earn your own living.

Leader: You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

People: Having put away falsehood,

let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor.

Leader: You shall not covet anything that is your neighbor's.

People: For the whole law is fulfilled in one word:  "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

SILENT PRAYER OF CONFESSION

ASSURANCE OF PARDON

Song “The Servant Song”

Brother let me be your servant

Let me be as Christ to you

Pray that I might have the grace to

Let you be my servant too

We are pilgrims on a journey

We are brothers on the road

We are here to help each other

Walk the mile and bear the load

I will weep when you are weeping

When you laugh I'll laugh with you

I will share your joy and sorrow

Till we've seen this journey through

When we sing to God in heaven

We shall find such harmony

Born of all we've known together

Of Christ's love and agony

PRAYER OF THE CHURCH - Pastor M. Connor Underseth

Psalm 21:7-13  “Because the King Trusts in the Lord” [Tune: Trinity Hymnal #94]

Because the king trusts in the LORD

His confidence is sure;

And through the love of Him Most High,

The king is kept secure.

Your hand will search for enemies

And find out all Your foes,

And all who harbor hate for You

Your right hand will oppose.

In anger You will burn them up

At Your appointed hour;

The LORD will swallow them in wrath,

In fiery flames devour.

Their fruit You will remove from earth,

Their children from mankind.

Their evil plots will not succeed,

Nor schemes they have designed.

For You will make them all retreat -

Your arrows are in place -

And on Your bowstring they are aimed

To strike them in the face.

In Your almighty strength, O LORD,

Exalt Yourself on high;

Then we will sing with psalms of praise,

Your power glorify.

GOD’S WORD PREACHED –  “Generous Mercy”   by Pastor Joel E. Wood

PRAYER OF APPLICATION & THE LORD’S PRAYER

All: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever.  Amen.

Trinity Hymnal  “Hark! The Voice of Love and Mercy”

Hark! the voice of love and mercy
sounds aloud from Calvary;
see, it rends the rocks asunder,
shakes the earth, and veils the sky:
"It is finished!
It is finished!
It is finished!"
Hear the dying Savior cry;
hear the dying Savior cry.

"It is finished!" O what pleasure
do these precious words afford;
heav'nly blessings, without measure,
flow to us from Christ the Lord:
"It is finished!
It is finished!
It is finished!"
Saints the dying words record;
saints the dying words record.

Finished all the types and shadows
of the ceremonial law;
finished all that God had promised;
death and hell no more shall awe:
"It is finished!
It is finished!
It is finished!"
Saints, from hence your comfort draw;
saints, from hence your comfort draw.

Tune your harps anew, ye seraphs,
join to sing the glorious theme;
all in earth, and all in heaven,
join to praise Emmanuel's name:
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
Glory to the bleeding Lamb!
Glory to the bleeding Lamb!

Hymnal p. 845  “Apostles’ Creed”

COMMUNION PRAYER

SERVING OF THE SUPPER

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING

Song  “Yet Not I But Through Christ in Me”

What gift of grace is Jesus my redeemer

There is no more for heaven now to give

He is my joy my righteousness and freedom

My steadfast love my deep and boundless peace

To this I hold my hope is only Jesus

For my life is wholly bound to his

Oh how strange and divine I can sing all is mine

Yet not I but through Christ in me

The night is dark but I am not forsaken

For by my side the Saviour he will stay

I labour on in weakness and rejoicing

For in my need his power is displayed

To this I hold my Shepherd will defend me

Through the deepest valley he will lead

Oh the night has been won and I shall overcome

Yet not I but through Christ in me

No fate I dread I know I am forgiven

The future sure the price it has been paid

For Jesus bled and suffered for my pardon

And he was raised to overthrow the grave

To this I hold my sin has been defeated

Jesus now and ever is my plea

Oh the chains are released I can sing I am free

Yet not I but through Christ in me

With every breath I long to follow Jesus

For he has said that he will bring me home

And day by day I know he will renew me

Until I stand with joy before the throne

To this I hold my hope is only Jesus

All the glory evermore to him

When the race is complete still my lips shall repeat

Yet not I but through Christ in me

Ending

When the race is complete still my lips shall repeat

Yet not I but through Christ in me

Yet not I but through Christ in me

Praise Him, all creatures here below:
